This policy explains what we collect on The Diecast District, how social features use your data, and the choices you have.

Overview

The Diecast District is a collector community with profiles, follows, likes, lists, and Garage content. We store account and activity data to run those features. We do not sell your personal information.

Account & Profile Data

Sign-in data (such as email and name) from your authentication provider, plus the handle, bio, avatar, and social links you add.
Privacy toggles you set under Account → Privacy, including public/private visibility and which profile sections are shown.
Community activity you create: likes, reviews, list items, My Garage posts, and notifications tied to your account.

Followers, Following & Follow Requests

Social graph data is personal information under GDPR and similar laws. When you follow someone-or approve a follow request-we store that relationship.

We record who follows whom, pending follow requests, and timestamps for those events.
Depending on profile visibility, follower/following counts and lists may be visible to signed-in visitors or the public.
Follow actions can generate in-app notifications for the person being followed or for follow-request recipients.
You can make your profile private, require follow approval, or hide sections from your public profile in Account → Privacy.

Manage these settings in Privacy.

Cookies & Similar Storage

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries. Non-essential analytics cookies load only after you accept them in the site banner.

Essential: sign-in session, locale preference (`tdd_locale`), and your cookie consent choice (`tdd_cookie_consent`). Theme preference is stored in local storage.
Analytics/marketing (Optional): Google Analytics and Google AdSense, when enabled for this deployment, only after you choose Accept all cookies.

Abuse Prevention

To reduce spam and automated follow abuse, each account may follow up to 10,000 collectors and perform at most 30 follow or unfollow actions per minute.

Your Choices & Contact

You can update profile and privacy settings in your account, clear optional analytics cookies by choosing Essential only in the banner, and contact us through our social profiles to ask about access or deletion of your account data.
